This was a deep dive into material creation in substance designer. I thinking about creating a modular building for the portfolio and having brick material was crucial for this project. So I started to iterate

First iteration - 1 hour
Crap

Second iteration - 3 hours
Still looks not well.
Still looks not well.

Third iteration - 5 Days
I bought the material with captions from Stan Brown and spent a lot of time, analyzing and copying the overall look. After all, Height data looks well. But my computer was overloaded by nodes, so I even haven't had a chance to finish the material.

Final iteration - 14 Days
Here we are. I kept the main shape from the previous iteration, you can notice the same damage on the edges, but I have also optimized everything, so my computer runs the project smoothly and I was able to finish this material. I also took some feedback sessions from Viktor Dilman, who was my colleague at the time. He taught me how to reach stunning results with base colour texture.
